An early Showa Kyo-machiya west of the Seimei shrine and Kyoto Imperial Palace. Even though the front part of this Kyo-machiya was changed into a kitchen space by its previous owner, you can bring back the traditional Kyo-machiya look with the lattice windows through renovation. Other parts of the house remain relatively untouched with the original wooden pillar and Shikkui plaster wall.
