KORYOYA was founded in early 2021 by Steven Huang , who has worked closely with traditional houses, rural properties, and international clients interested in traditional houses in the Japanese countryside. Through hands-on experience with property viewings, renovations, and real estate transactions, he recognized the growing gap between abandoned traditional homes and people who genuinely want to live in and preserve them. This led to the transition of KORYOYA into a licensed real estate company in December 2025, allowing us to provide full legal representation and professional support while staying true to our original mission.

Maki is a certified Real Estate Broker joining KORYOYA to support both real estate operations and creative production. With a background in web design, photography, and visual storytelling, she is especially drawn to capturing the character, craftsmanship, and atmosphere of older homes. By combining real estate expertise with creative expression, she helps highlight the unique beauty and potential of traditional properties, allowing their stories and architectural details to be thoughtfully shared and preserved.
