Omi Minka
Nagato City, Yamaguchi Pref.
This Minka is right next to the Japan sea, with ocean view from the second floor window. It is located on Omi Island, one of the most scenic spots in the San-in region, which is called the “Maritime Alps” because of its beautiful sea and unique rocks. The age of the house is unknown, but it appears to have been renovated from an old Minka and adapted to modern living. The famous scenic spots of “Nami no Hashidate” and “Omi Lake” are in the immediate vicinity and offer wonderful walks every day. There are also beaches, campgrounds, and diving centers on the island. You can also reach the famous Yumoto onsen town within 15-minute drive. Hagi City, known as an old castle town, is a 30-minute drive away, and the Shinkansen Shin-Yamaguchi Station can be reached in an hour by car.
