Hasamata Kominka
Maibara City, Shiga Pref.
Mt. Ibuki can be seen when traveling between Kansai and Kanto. It is known as a mecca for mountain climbing and skiing, and is also famous as a producer of medicinal herbs and limestone. This Kominka stands spaciously on a large plot of land in the village of Hasamata, at the foot of Mount Ibuki, with fields enriched by the spring water of Ibuki. Most of the main house has retained its original style, while a newer, more livable detached building includes a kitchen and toilet. There is also steel-frame garage for 2 cars. The nearest Shinkansen station, Maibara, is a 25-minute drive away while downtown Nagoya city is about an hour drive away.
