Kaminyu Kominka

About a 8 minutes drive from the Samegai post town and JR Samegai station is a century old Kominka house in the Kaminyu village. The village is known as a "woodcarving village" where the artisans who have carried on the traditional techniques since the Edo period gather and live. At the Semgai post town, the Jizo River attracts tourists for its underwater flower called "Baikamo (water crowfoot)" that resembles a plum blossom. From here, you are only a 20 minutes drive away from the Shinkansen Maibara station that takes you to big cities like Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya in less than an hour.
