Obu Minka
Kishiwada City, Osaka Pref.
Kishiwada, located in southern Osaka, is a district consisting of the Osaka Bay coast and hills behind it. The city is especially famous for its wild "Danjiri Festival". This Minka with a traditional entrance gate is located in Obu, a hilly area. In recent years, this area has been increasingly becoming a commuter town for the Osaka metropolitan area, but it is an area with a lot of greenery. There are many reservoirs in particular, and the nearby Kumeda Pond is home to rare native fish and migratory birds. This house is designed to convey traditional structures and construction methods while also taking modern life into consideration. There are also two toilets, which can be used separately in the guest room and the back room. From the nearest station, you are about an hour by train to central Osaka, and it is possible to get to Kansai International Airport in an hour by train or 30 minutes by car.
