Abe Kominka
Sakurai City, Nara Pref.
Sakurai, located in the southeast of the Nara Basin, is rich in prehistoric ruins. It is also where the oldest shrine in Japan, Omiwa shrine, is located. The main house, including the entrance, is of sturdy construction and conveys the traditional style well. The house is already in livable condition as the kitchen, bath, and other water facilities have recently been replaced. While the property is walkable from the JR Sakurai train station and shops, being located on a hillside at the foot of a mountain, it remains exceptionally rich in natural surroundings. From the train station, the center of Nara and Osaka can be reached in 45 minutes and a little over an hour, respectively, and Kansai International Airport can be reached in a little over an hour by car.
