Itcho-me Kyo-machiya
Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City
This Kyo-machiya is located in the heart of the old Kyoto city, in the ancient Heian Palace where palaces and government offices were located, and in the medieval period, near Juraku-dai and Nijo Castle, which were the bases of the samurai government. Needless to say, it is convenient to live in the city center. You can get to Kyoto Station by bus or train in less than 30 minutes. In addition, it is surprisingly quiet due to its location in a back alley. The year of construction is unknown, but the style suggests that it is a traditional building from before the 1940s. It needs to be fully renovated, but since the original style of the building has been preserved, it is possible to restore it to its good old appearance.
