Located near the world-famous Fushimi Inari Shrine and Fushimi’s historic old town and sake district, this Kyo-machiya is just a five-minute walk from both a Kintetsu and a Keihan railway station. With the Kintetsu railway, you’re only a ten-minute train ride from Kyoto Station and thirty minutes from Kintetsu Nara Station. Despite its proximity to the rail tracks, the Kyo-machiya is surprisingly quiet and peaceful, nestled within an alley. The view of the Japanese garden from the tatami rooms is breathtaking. While no major repairs are needed, upgrading the kitchen, toilet, and bathroom, as well as renovating the newer Showa-era side building, would be beneficial.
