Ubara Minka
Fukuchiyama City, Kyoto Pref.
It is a traditional Minka located in a mountain village in the northern part of Kyoto Prefecture, surrounded by rolling mountains and fields. At first glance, the location seems isolated, but in fact it is a transit point of the historic trunk line "San-in highway" that connects the ancient capital of Kyoto with the western coast of the Sea of Japan. Since modern times, the area has maintained a quiet environment due to the absence of railway lines and highways, but you can still reach downtown Fukuchiyama city in 30 minutes drive, and Kyoto station in about 1 and half hour drive.
