Takaya-Nishikami Minka
Kanonji City, Kagawa Pref.
Kannonji City is located in the northeast of Shikoku Island, in the western part of Kagawa Prefecture. The plains outside the city are covered with fields and reservoirs, and overlook the calm Seto Inland Sea. This Minka with a quaint old-fashioned barn attached is located in a mountainous area rich in nature. The property is well maintained with spacious land. It is about 10 minutes drive away from the Ariake Hama Beach, famous for its shallow, 2 km-long white sand beach. Nearby is the mysterious “Zenigata Sunae”, a giant sand painting representing old coins, and Takaya Shrine, a popular spot with a spectacular view of the Seto Inland Sea. There is a large bridge across the sea and it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes by car to Okayama where there is a Shinkansen station.
