Takamaru Kominka
Kobe City, Hyogo Pref.
This Kominka is located in a quiet residential area in the Tarumi Ward of Kobe city. Built in Showa era before 1972 (year of construction is unknown ), the Kominka had a distinctly cool retro feel in contrast to the other new houses surrounding it. The rustic fittings and veranda overlooking the garden are wonderful. It takes 16min to walk to Tarumi station and Shinkansen station is 11min by train. One of the hidden charm of this location is that you can easily access to Awaji Island by driving across the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, the world's longest suspension bridge. The bridge is known as Pearl Bridge when lit up at night creating a fantastic scenery.
