Nishikoken Machiya
Inuyama City, Aichi Pref.
This Machiya built in the Meiji era (1893) sits close to the center of the Inuyama castle town district. It is only a 12 mins walk to Inuyama train station that is 40 mins away from downtown Nagoya. As this machiya is close by the tourist area, it can be easily turned into a guest house or a shop for the tourists. The Inuyama castle is one of the 5 castles in Japan (along with Himeji castle and Matsumoto castle) that is registered as a national treasure.
