Nodagawa Kominka
Yosagun, Kyoto Pref.
A 200+ years old Edo period Kominka that belongs to the Muchi family that has a history of over a thousand years through 71 generations. Next to the Kominka is a temple called "Fukujuji" and above it are the ruins of Ishikawa Castle. It is likely that the Muchi family Kominka was one of the guardian's residence of Ishikawa Castle. Once the overgrown trees can be cleared, the hill behind the house offers a panoramic view of the town. From here, you are only a 10 minutes drive to the Amanohashidate sandbar & beach that is covered with about 7,000 pine trees.
Note that this property is registered as a tangible cultural heritage and there may be renovation guidelines from the local municipality.
